Chris James – Red Dirt On His Hands (WAV)

There is a winery in the Riverina that has been owned by the same family since 1945, and this year is the 80th anniversary of that winery. I started to write a song to commemorate that milestone and, whilst writing the song, I realised that the message in this song applies to many families that have come to this country for a better life. Therefore, there are two versions of this song – one specifically for Calabria Family Wines and one that has been slightly modified, which I hope will resonate with many other families around the country.
This is Chris’ first single in over nine years, as he tries to write songs with substance that will strike a chord with his audience and hopes that ‘Red Dirt On His Hands’ achieves that.
