Kevin Glanfield

Kevin was not a songwriter, but a keen poet. The loss of his best friend and soul mate
Bella of 13 years, a Catahoula Leopard hunting dog, hurt Kevin deeply resulting in him
writing several heartfelt poems for Bella.
Kevin wanted to take his poems and somehow turn these into a fitting tribute song for
Bella.
Kevin approached Rob Mackay a well know music producer from Pacific International
Music (The Bobkatz, Drew McAlister, Luke O’Shea, Kaylee Bell) to see if he could help.
Rob could see in Kevin’s poems the raw material for a great song and engaged veteran
songwriter Allan Caswell to co-write “When you lose a Dog”
The song was recorded late 2025 with Kevin taking lead vocal in what is a truly honest,
emotional and loving performance.
Kevin hopes this song will help others who have gone through the pain of losing a dog.
