Mundy-Turner aka Cath ‘n’ Jay – a 30-year partnership of two Brisbane-based singer-songwriter-musicians, Cath Mundy from Meanjin/Brisbane and Jay Turner originally from the UK.
The duo has released seven full-length duo albums of original songs and performed many tours on the international folk-acoustic circuit.
Cath & Jay cover a wide range of topics in their writing, from quirky love songs (‘Lucky Premonition’), to comedy (‘Millard Pop-Top ‘74’), and are well-known for their social commentary songs such as ‘Stealing My Democracy’ (government clampdowns on peaceful protest), ‘Unfinished Business’ (Queensland’s unrepaid Stolen Wages), ‘Falling’ (homelessness: the Central Bank’s blunt instrument for fighting inflation), ‘War Is My Business’ (anti arms-manufacturing) & their latest release (written in collaboration with their son Josh) about America & the Worlds’s latest & greatest nightmare: ‘Get Him Out!’.
