Shelley Minson – Riverbank Red (WAV)

$2.19

‘Riverbank Red’ is the first single from Shelley Minson released through Blue Shamrock Music

The Tamworth based Rockabilly and Pin Up Gal sings about taking a bottle of red wine down to the river bank with the one you love and making the most of the simple things in life. All set to a lively backdrop of fiddle, harmonica and accordian and wrapped in a catchy Cajun beat.

The inspiration for ‘Riverbank Red’ came from a casual synonym used by veteran radio broadcaster Brian ‘Howdy’ Howard. Shelley’s producer husband Lawrie Minson picked up on the idea, took it to hit songwriter Matt Scullion and Riverbank Red was born.

Lawrie played the accordian, guitar and harmonica parts and Queenslander Hugh Curtis put the ‘swing into the thing’ with his Cajun style fiddle. The rhythm section was filled out by session guru Doug Gallacher on drums and Lawrie and Shelley’s band mate Glenn ‘Ned’ Bewley on bass guitar.

‘Riverbank Red’ was recorded and produced by Lawrie Minson at Ebony House Studio Tamworth and final mastering was done by the great Steve Newton from ENREC Studios, Tamworth NSW, Australia.
