Adrian Payne
Adrian Payne is one of Australia’s most versatile singers.
He has sung in Rock and Country bands as well as being a solo performer throughout the seventies, eighties and nineties and spent two years performing in the rock opera ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’.
Adrian is no newcomer to the Country/Rock scene, having established his place in the industry over several years. He has performed as back-up singer in concert, TV shows and recording sessions on countless occasions for artists such as Slim Dusty, Tom Jones, Marcia Hines, Grace Knight, Jon English and Doug Parkinson.
In the late eighties Adrian was lead vocalist for the Tommy Emmanual Band, which toured the country and with Tommy, supported Joan Armatrading at the Sydney Entertainment Centre.
Adrian’s vocal and guitar talents were utilised as part of the Col Joye band (he was a ‘Joy Boy’) appearing on tour with such legendary greats as Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry and the Everly Brothers in the highly successful ‘Legends of Rock’ tour.
Composition credits extend from the writing of documentary music to complete scoring and performing of movie soundtracks.
