Debbie Mepham grew up in a family that all loved country music.
Debbie recently started singing in the walk-ups at a few country music festivals and, last April, she won the walk-up at Bingara and got to record a single with Rob Breese at Beaten Tracks Studio.
She chose to record ‘Merry Model T’ a song her dad taught her when she was just 13 years old. “The song stayed with me for many years, (but I only knew 1 verse and the chorus), I asked around for nearly 2 years and eventually found the 2 other verses”.
Great old song with loads of character, it was originally recorded by Jimmie McFarlane.
