Jo Powell

I was born in Devonport, Tasmania and moved to Sheffield at the age of 4. After I completed year 10 at Sheffield High School my family moved back to Devonport, where I spent a number of years before moving to Latrobe. I now live in my motorhome in Tasmania.

I have been singing and performing for around 15 years. I have recorded two albums, one in 2015 and the second in 2023, both have covers from various artists.

I have mostly performed at walkup shows, recently travelling around parts of Queensland and New South Wales performing in walk-ups at several country music festivals and musters. I have also played my own shows at places such as Cradle Mountain Lodge in Tasmania and Quamby Pub in Queensland. I also did busking at this year’s Tamworth Country Music Festival, which was really exciting and an amazing experience.
