Joy Adams

Joy Adams is one of New Zealand’s best known Country Recording Artists.

Joy Adams lives in a small rural community west of Huntly and has just found out she is a finalist in Five Categories at the International Singer-Songwriters Association Awards held in Atlanta, Georgia this coming August. She is the only finalist from NZ and up for International Female Vocalist of the Year, Female Album of the Year, Female Single of the Year, Female Songwriter of the Year, Female Emerging Artist of the Year.

Joy’s latest album ‘Just One Little Thing’ has been receiving airplay all around the world.

Along with some classic country, it features two self penned songs and four songs co-written with Gary R. Farmer.

Teach Your Children’ and ‘Make The World Go Away’ went to the #1 position on the Irish Country Radio Charts and ‘Teach Your Children’ is still in the Aussie Top 40 Charts.

If Spotify numbers are anything to go by (just a few streams shy of half a million), this album is doing really well.

The album JUST ONE LITTLE THING and other songs/albums are available on all good download platforms.

Ironically, this success and other recent chart successes have come off the back of not being able to perform live for just over two years due to health issues which have affected her voice.

“It’s been a real blow for me that something that used to be so effortless, has become a real challenge.

I’ve just always thought I’d be able to sing so I’ve had to dig deep and think of new ways to be creative.

Luckily I’ve been able to continue recording songs from  home when my voice clarity is ok and send files via the internet to my producer, Gary R. Farmer from  Georgia who always seems to work his magic” says Adams’

Joy has released 20 full albums and 1 EP throughout her career and performed at shows and festivals throughout NZ, USA, Australia, Norfolk Island and Europe.
