Kevin Allum

KEVIN ALLUM was born in Dunedin, NZ and has now in his 80th year, developed an interest in country music, both with songwriting and singing. From a musical father, he has always had an interest in poetry and describes himself as a singing poet.

Ironically, although the whole country music scene is relatively new for him, he has already gained success as a songwriter with one of his songs called ‘I’ve Always Had A Dream’ being picked up by Tasmanian Country Singer – Con Whelan.  It became the title track from his new album and achieved success on the Australian Charts last year.

Kevin favours the more traditional country sound and has written a tribute to Australian Country Music Legend – Chad Morgan. Gail Russell has created the melody and the song was recorded by Gary R. Farmer in Flintstone, Georgia, USA.
