Maddy Simioni

Maddy Simioni has been performing as a singer-songwriter for the past 7 years. Maddy’s music resembles folky pop with undertones of hip-hop/rap, inspired by personal experiences and reflections on the social-political space we live in. Originally from Melbourne, Maddy dived into the Melbourne music scene from 2017 onwards. With the confidence and skill acquired through completing VCE Music in 2016, Maddy began her career by performing at open mic nights all over Melbourne, and acquiring local residency gigs in the south east. In 2017 Maddy placed 3rd in Fuse Productions’ annual ‘Battle of the Sounds’ for young artists, and in 2020 performed at Mordialloc Festival as part of the duo ‘Sweet Chilli’.

In 2021, Maddy moved temporarily to Alice Springs, where she revelled in the music scene, performing regularly and collaborating with local musicians. After forming a four-piece band titled ‘So Fresh Mob’, Maddy demonstrated her versality, fronting the band singing crowd favourite pop, punk and RNB tunes from the 90s and 2000s at various local venues.

After returning to Melbourne in 2022 to complete her social work studies, Maddy moved back to Alice Springs in 2023, where she continued to thrive musically. Maddy wowed audiences at Wide Open Space Festival where she performed as a feature artist with the Desert Diamonds, and launched her debut single ‘Bullet Train’ at Epilogue Lounge, where she also performed an array of unreleased originals. Maddy looks forward to recording and releasing more of her original music, and sharing it with the world.
