Affectionately known as ‘Australia’s First Lady Of Song’, Shaza Leigh is the epitome of success in the Australian country music business; singer, songwriter, musician and entrepreneur. In 2020 Shaza’s undeniable talent was affirmed at the National Australian Awards, ‘THE ORDER OF THE WATTLE BLOSSOM’. The citation for Shaza Leigh OWB – ‘For excellence in the writing and performance of music reflecting Australia’s unique cultural heritage, and love for our Native Land.’

Shaza the SINGER is a versatile vocalist achieving National Top 10 success with numerous self penned hits in the 90’s like I’m Not Sorry, Let Him Down Easy and recent hits, Farmhouse By The Sea, Jibadgee and her most recent #1 hits Where Our Heart Lives and The Old Home’s Gone. Shaza’s won Qld Female Vocalist of the Year for 11 consecutive years with 4 National Female titles since the inception of the awards.

The SONGWRITER, has had over 300 songs published resulting in 3 National Songwriter Of The Year titles, 2 Composer of the Year titles, 5 TSA National Salute Awards (including Song of the Year) plus nominations in The Golden Guitar Awards, The People’s Choice Awards and The Bush Laureates.

The MUSICIAN has played on over 200 major Australian album releases and toured with multiple professional roadshows.

Surprisingly, the ENTREPRENEUR, is astoundingly impressive, amassing one of the most successful and diverse businesses within the Australian country music industry! Her dedication to the industry, the music and mentoring new talent has been invaluable to many of today’s country stars.

Recognition for her contribution and years of service to country music came with The Tamworth Industry Award, The Akubra Hat Award and with husband partner, Lindsay Butler OAM, received The CMAA Independent Record Company of the Year.

Shaza’s been inducted onto The Women’s Wall of Fame, The Australian Country Music Wall of Honour and the Hands of Fame in Tamworth and continues to serve on selected industry bodies as the Patron and advisor.
