Steve Sparrow

Steve Sparrow is a Brisbane based country singer, songwriter, and an accomplished guitarist. He is also a well-respected record producer and sound engineer. Steve’s new album ‘Now and Forever’, is his third studio album, showcasing a strong songwriting style, and demonstrates his excellent vocal and instrumental prowess. His previous album ‘Paint your Cactus Green’ boasted 3 top ten country singles, with his song “Social Network Freak” reaching number one on the country tracks chart. The current single ‘Big Old Land Australia,’ penned by Virginia Coad Hermel talks about the wonders of this amazing country of ours and is being played on regular rotation by Macca on Australia All Over on the ABC.


Born totally blind, he has overcome adversity with his own brand of music, often using a finger-picking guitar style.


Steve’s professional career started as a duo with his sister known as The Sparrows, and they recorded under the Selection Records Label. Steve won a golden guitar at the Gore Country Music Festival in New Zealand. Alongside his entertainment career, he is a highly regarded record producer, and has recorded music for many artists as well as his own work at Sparrow Sound Studio.


Steve is also a well-known and respected entertainer throughout the South-East Queensland Club, Pub and Country Music scene.
