Watling & Bates
Watling & Bates are Kym Watling and Geoffrey Bates, songwriters from Unumgar NSW on the western edge of the Northern Rivers. The duo performed their unique brand of oldtime Gothic hillbilly honkytonk in venues and stages across NSW & Queensland from 2013-2022.
Watling & Bates’ 2026 Leaving Unumgar album is the duo’s final album, following their 2024 Dark Middle Period and 2018 Small Town Tales albums, and their 2014 Before I Met You.debut EP.
