Kym Watling and Geoffrey Bates are Watling & Bates, songwriters from Unumgar NSW, on the western edge of the Northern Rivers.
Their distinctive brand of oldtime Gothic hillbilly honkytonk has seen them perform at country pubs, metropolitan art galleries, outback camel races, riverside operas, country halls, and city malls.
Watling & Bates’ upcoming 2024 Dark Middle Period album digs deep into the heart to complement their 2018 Small Town Tales album and 2014 debut EP Before I Met You.
