‘Everlasting Cactus’ has an interesting story that was passed down to me – A stockman and child believed to be buried without a grave marker in the Western Downs Region in Monogorilby QLD.
In times gone by farmers would often mark graves with an Everlasting Cactus.
The stockman’s story struck me the most so I put it into song. I promise it’s not a morbid song!!
I co-wrote this with Kevin Bennett and I hope you enjoy it. It was awesome to explore a different genre of music with KB.
