Allan Gumm – Me And Annie Murphy (Wav)
Allan was born into a musically inclined family and started singing and playing guitar at the age of ten years. His first public performance was in 1978.
Allan had worked throughout the southern, mid-western and northern parts of NSW for many years. He lived in Canberra and worked the club, pub and festival scene there. Allan has also toured Australia performing his own style of music. Allan has performed in Tasmania as well as Ireland and Scotland.
Allan was a support act for Lee Kernaghan and Anne Kirkpatrick in Canberra. He also did a charity event in Canberra with Adam Harvey and Beccy Cole. He has performed on festivals alongside Slim Dusty, Reg Poole, John Williamson, just to name a few.
He has been a guest star on WIN television in Wollongong, completed a second tour as a support act to the comedians Lucky Grills, Jan Adele, and Geoff “Tangle tongue” Mack and has appeared at the “Sydney Opera House” on the “Tamworth on Parade” concert performing his own compositions. He has appeared on “Channel 9” television in Melbourne on “Hey, Hey, it’s Saturday” where he won the “Red Faces” segment with a comedy act performing “Lucky the Honky Tonk Truckie”.
Allan sings a wide range of music that suits most venues. He also plays rhythm guitar, bass and ukulele, and has written quite a few of his own songs, which he has recorded on his previous albums.
He has worked as a judge and host on shows such as Talent Quests in Canberra, Newcastle, and Tamworth during the Country Music Festival where he was also a finalist in Star Maker in Tamworth in 1988.
Allan also appeared at the National Capital Country Music Awards in Canberra where he was host compere and entertainer for ten years and dubbed the “Gentleman of Country Music.” He has also entertained on the “P&O Cruise Line”.
Allan now lives in Queensland where he is working the club and festival scene there.
Allan has written many songs, some of which have been released on his CDs which are available, a new one just recently released in 2022.
