James Keith

James discovered a passion for music working on his family’s vineyard in Orange, NSW. “Dad would have vinyls and CDs which we would play all day long”. However, before a career in music he followed in his father’s footsteps – Peter Mortimer; a professional rugby league player, alongside uncles Steve and Chris Mortimer – and donned the jersey for Manly.

After shifting from his sports career to his artistic passions, it was back in his hometown that James holed up with producer, Craig Honeysett, at Dotted Eight Studios to craft his debut album, ‘Life Is Good Today’. Pounding drums, blistering guitars and anthemic choruses became the keystones that support James’ autobiographical tales of positivity and persistence.

James Keith understands the power of positivity and it fuels him like firewood to a flame. It’s a theme that runs through the heart of his high energy brand of Country Rock.
