John O’Dea
One of Australia’s finest singer-songwriters, John O’Dea is in his prime.
With eight excellent albums to his credit – If Stones Could Talk, Old Rusty Ute, Storyteller, This Old Guitar, Flinders Ranges Magic, Happy Days, Under A Parachilna Sunset and his latest release, A Dream And A Song – the South Australian-based singer-songwriter has a wealth of material to draw upon on any given night.
No longer a farmer, John now makes his living teaching music to students, entertaining tourists and performing at festivals from his home in Orroroo, SA, to audiences in all parts of Australia.
The two time Golden Guitar finalist and multiple TSA Award winner has been honing his craft over a lifetime, writing songs that his audience can relate to – anything from a tear-jerker about an old guitar, an old saddle, or a cracking yarn about a randy old ram stuck in a dam – he nails it every time.
