Penny Burke

Penny Burke is a regional Australian country singer-songwriter known for her honest storytelling and warm, unmistakably Australian voice. Originally from Cloncurry in North West Queensland, Penny began singing at just 12 years of age and released her debut EP, Local Pub, in 2004, produced by Stuie French at Swingin’ Doors Studio in Sydney. Her songs celebrate family, resilience, love and the people who shape our lives, delivered with authenticity and heartfelt sincerity.
After time away from recording, Penny returned to songwriting with renewed purpose, drawing inspiration from the stories and experiences that had quietly unfolded over the years. Her latest body of work marks a deeply personal chapter, with several songs inspired by her fiancé, Graeme, whose unwavering support has been instrumental in bringing the project to life. Over the past year, Penny has collaborated with David and Merelyn Carter of Carter & Carter and Crestway Productions, alongside an exceptional team of writers and musicians, to carefully craft an album rich in emotion and storytelling.
With new singles rolling out throughout 2026 and her full album, Always Be There, set for release in December, Penny Burke continues to establish herself as a compelling voice in Australian country music. Her songs are honest, heartfelt and unmistakably Australian, resonating with listeners long after the final note fades.
