The Curry Mob – In The Melody (MP3)

I started to write this song at home on the property where we live in SE QLD. I was sitting in my favourite tree watching my family and my mother as she was washing our clothes and working on her everyday chores around our small property. As I watched my mother going about and doing what she does I thought of what it would be like to lose my mother and how it would impact on our lives, mine in particular. This song is about a daughter and mother’s love for each other. An everlasting love between a daughter and her mum.

Raised on the road and shaped by song, siblings Blue and Mika are young country artists keeping tradition alive while living it in real time.

Blue and Mika were born overseas but their paths shifted just before Christmas 2021 when Typhoon Rai (Odette to the locals) devastated their island home of Siargao. In the wake of destruction their family made the move to their Dads homeland, Australia where a new chapter began.

The Curry Mob, entered and won the Tamworth Maccas Golden Gig junior section in their first ever stage performances and from there their journey has gathered momentum. Their sound leans strongly into Traditional Country Music, inspired by stories they hear and their love of the Australian bush, pioneers and life on the road. “Success isn’t a goal, we just want to have fun and share what we love.”
